Attorney Chang Yu-Shu previously served as a judge at district courts in Taipei, Hsinchu, and other jurisdictions in Taiwan. He is admitted as an attorney-at-law in Taiwan, qualified as a patent agent, and as a registered foreign lawyer in Japan. He has more than 30 years of experience in judicial adjudication, legal practice, technology industries, and cross-border matters.
Attorney Chang has long focused his practice on cross-border dispute resolution, intellectual property strategy, technology transactions and licensing, due diligence, and legal services relating to the semiconductor and high-technology sectors. He has advised companies and individuals from Taiwan, the United States, and Mainland China on multi-jurisdictional litigation, non-contentious matters, and cross-border business collaborations. His practice is particularly distinguished by the integration of legal analysis, technological understanding, and industry strategy, enabling him to deliver solutions with an international perspective and practical commercial viability.
Attorney Chang also served as Chief Strategy Officer of the China Technology Exchange and has taught courses on patents and technology law at Peking University Law School and at the electrical engineering and other related colleges of National Taiwan University. He has also served as Deputy Convener of the Intellectual Property Rights Committee of the Chinese National Federation of Industries, Distinguished Lecturer for the Hsinchu Science Park, and Secretary-General of the Technology Law Association.
In the field of international academic and professional exchange, Attorney Chang has served as a visiting scholar at Stanford Law School and as a visiting research fellow at Columbia Law School. He has authored multiple books and articles on cross-border patent matters and intellectual property law. He has long been committed to promoting exchange and collaboration among the high-technology and intellectual property sectors across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
